Our primary network protection tool is an Enterprise Class Firewall combined with subscription security services that protect the front door to the network. The Firewall can also provide a gateway that to a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that provides a secure method for employees to access company network resources. Firewalls should always be set to deny every inbound connection to your network unless it is explicitly allowed and if it is allowed, it must be protected by a VPN.
